Architecture for a new ecology by MOS

Bien que la forme de la Element House de MOS s'inspire de la typologie traditionnelle de la maison (rectangle + triangle), cette nouvelle approche en architecture visant à concevoir des maisons préfabriquées détonne.

Comme tout bon projet architectural, une attention particulière a été portée à l'apport considérable de lumière et de ventilation naturelles. Mais ici le foyer n'est plus un foyer, la grosse cheminée qui chapeaute le volume de la maison n'est plus une cheminée, mais bien une porte d'entrée pour l'extérieur.

"Through the reconfiguration of vernacular forms, the project proposes not only a new idea of a house, but also a new idea of a village. Where does one home end and the other begin? Element House "expands and contracts as necessary," accommodating multiple or extended families in a continuum of space and resources.
The homes would be completely "off the grid," operating independently of traditional utility services. The pre-fabricated modules, limited to a footprint of 1500 square feet maximum, would follow strict LEED design criteria."

Liesl Pfeffer

Son nom c'est Liesl Pfeffer, une photo-media artist australienne. Sa spécialité consiste à faire des collages à partir de photos prises par une caméra-jouet, des tissus vintage et des objets trouvés. Elle photographie également la rue avec des caméras Polaroid, Holga et Canon Demi.
